Bring your old
shoes to the race. Wipers Recycling accepts dry, clean shoes,
paired together. Half of the shoes are re-used in the
community or donated to flood victims in Minnesota. The other
half of the shoes are made into new items. All new products
are made here in Minnesota!

Improvements continue to be made to make the UWHM5K a greener race. Water and Powerade is be served in biodegradable, compostable cups rather than plastic bottles, at the finish line and at water stops. Runner materials are distributed in a reusable runner bag.
